TFT (Thin Film Transistor)
A type of LCD in which each pixel is controlled by from one to four transistors. TFT technology provides optimum resolutions and is widely used across all types of LCD panels including, TN, VA, IPS. TFT screens are sometimes called active-matrix LCDs.
