Terminator: Dark Fate VFX Brought to Life with ColorEdge
The best part of the EIZO hardware is that is self-calibrates and as a supervisor that’s critical because you want to know what you are looking at is perfect is color accurate and is sharp and consistent.
The first two models in the ColorEdge series addressed the color reproduction requirements of graphics professionals during the transition from CRT to LCD.
The R, G, and B gamma values for each ColorEdge monitor are adjusted at the factory using the monitor's 16-bit or 24-bit LUT to select the 256 most appropriate tones.
World's First LCD Monitor that Covers the Adobe® RGB Color Space
The ColorEdge CG220 was the first LCD monitor to cover the Adobe RGB color space, which is ideal for color critical work.
ColorEdge monitors are equipped with EIZO's patented digital uniformity equalizer (DUE) technology which corrects deviations in every tone across the screen to ensure stable display.
Built-In Calibration Sensor for Monochrome Medical Monitors
The RadiForce G33 is a medical monitor with EIZO's unique built-in sensor which calibrates the screen as well as stabilizes brightness for precise display of monochrome radiology images. This technology laid the foundation for ColorEdge's built-in sensor technology.
The 3D-LUT allows adjustment of colors individually on an RGB cubic table. This improves the monitor's additive color mixture, which is key in displaying neutral grays.
World-First Built-In Calibration Sensor for Color Critical Monitors
The ColorEdge CG245W was the first monitor with a built-in color calibration sensor, eliminating the need for a third party calibration device.
Inudstry-First AI Image Stabilization
ColorEdge monitors are equipped with a temperature sensor for accurately measuring the temperature inside the monitor, as well as estimating the temperature of the surrounding environment. The monitors adjust in real-time to counter any shifts due to changes in ambient temperature and stay color-accurate. Select models use AI in the estimation algorithm to distinguish between various temperature changing patterns and calculate even more accurate color correction.

ColorEdge HDR Reference Monitor Launches
CG3145 is the first LCD monitor to overcome the severe drawbacks of other HDR technologies - Auto Brightness Limiter (ABL) equipped in HDR OLED monitors, and local dimming which causes a "halo" effect. The monitors achieve a true HDR visual experience without ABL or the "halo" effect.
ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG3146
World's First True HDR Reference Monitor with Built-In Calibration Sensor
CG3146 is the first true HDR monitor in the world to be equipped with a built-in calibration sensor. EIZO's latest sensor technology improved overall measuring accuracy as HDR quickly becomes the norm. This model is also equipped with SDI connections for seamless transmission of 4K video data.
Academy Sci-Tech Award
EIZO developed its own unique calibration software alongside the first ColorEdge monitors, which was compatible with the GretagMacbeth Eye-One spectrophotometer.
Version 4.1 and 4.2
L* and Gray Balance Support
From ColorNavigator Version 4.1, users are able to set L* (perceptual lightness from the 1976 CIE Lab color space). In Version 4.2, users can calibrate with the priority on gray balance to adjust the target white point at all levels.
CN Agent Added
ColorNavigator Agent allows users to quickly change the target profile from the task bar without having to boot up ColorNavigator. It also allows users to monitor the status of their graphics board's gamma (Windows OS).
Self Calibration Function
Users can schedule the monitor automatically recalibrate at a specific time or at regular intervals, even if the monitor is switched off. Self-calibration can be carried out during non-working hours for peace of mind and efficiency.
External Sensor Correlation Support
The built-in calibration sensor can be correlated to any high-end spectrophotometer so studios can benefit from self-calibration while maintaining their internally defined color management framework.
Linux Support, Gray Balance Improved for Film
ColorNavigator 6 launched with a new design and features including Linux support, profile emulation, and improved gray balance adjustment function for the M&E market.
Device / Film Emulation and LogView LUT Support
ColorNavigator can create emulation data from the 3D LUT of the video content used in color grading systems to match the look of the film on the monitor. It can also emulate the characteristics of other media devices such as tablets, smartphones, other monitors, printers, and paper.
ColorNavigator NX Launches
ColorNavigator NX offers quality control and asset management of client ColorEdge monitors from a single PC. It covers calibration, emulation, built-in sensor correlation, and color mode settings.
ColorNavigator Network Launches
Hosted on a secure cloud server, ColorNavigator Network provides centralized quality control of ColorEdge monitors on a network, even for remotely located studios. This ensures that appropriate color standards are used across locations throughout the production pipeline.
4K Model Support
ColorNavigator added support for ColorEge 4K monitors, including Hi DPI and Picture-by-Picture display support.
ColorNavigator 7 Launches
ColorNavigator 7 combines the features of the previous ColorNavigator 6 color management software and ColorNavigator NX quality control software to create a new and improved solution.
