Erik Johansson

Photography and Retouching
ColorEdge CG318-4K

Erik Johansson is a photographer and retouch artist from Sweden based in Prague, Czech Republic. He doesn’t capture moments, he captures ideas. To Erik, photography is more a way for him to collect material and then he creates his photographs on the computer. One single image can consist of hundreds of layers but he always wants to make it look as if it was only one. He finds inspiration everywhere, while taking a walk or surfing the web. To Erik, inspiration is more about looking at the world differently, trying to combine things that are normally not supposed to. It always starts with an idea, then he photographs all the parts he needs, and finally puts all the pieces together on the computer. He works on both personal and commissioned projects. Erik has been doing this for the past 10 years now and for him, it feels like he’s just getting started. In his words, “Inspire, be inspired.”
