Kanako Sato was born in Canada and is now actively based in Tokyo and Kamakura. She specializes in underwater photography as well as town life. For 6 years from 2009, she was elected to hold a solo exhibition at the The Month of Photography, Tokyo to promote and develop photographic culture. Her works have also appeared in solo exhibitions in Cuba and Uzbekistan, as well as in photographic magazines in the Netherlands, India and Italy, and through internet media. In order to inspire people with photography she also works as an instructor, as well as writing and publishing magazines and books.
