Troubleshooting
No Picture
Power indicator does not light up
- Is the cable properly connected to the USB-C connector (power source:
) (when supplying power from the enclosed AC adapter).
- Is the cable properly connected to the USB-C connector (upstream:
) (when supplying power from a PC). Even if the cable is properly connected, the monitor may not receive power or run out of power depending on the specifications of the PC. In such cases, use the AC adapter enclosed with the monitor.
- Increase "Indicator" in the Setting menu (see Indicator).
- Touch
.
Power indicator is lighting white
- Increase "Brightness", "Contrast", or "Gain" in the Setting menu (see Color).
Power indicator is lighting orange
- In the Setting menu, set "Compatibility Mode" to "On" (see Advanced Settings - Compatibility Mode).
- Move the mouse or press any key on the keyboard.
- Check whether the PC is turned on.
The message "No Signal" appears on the screen
Example:
- The message shown above may appear as some PCs do not output the signal immediately after power-on.
- Check whether the PC is turned on.
- Check whether the signal cable is connected properly.
- Disconnect all cables connected to the monitor, make sure the power light is off, then plug in the cable again and try turning it on.
The message "Signal Error" appears on the screen
Example:
- Check whether the PC is configured to meet the resolution and vertical scan frequency requirements of the monitor (see Compatible Resolutions).
- Reboot the PC.
- Select an appropriate setting using the graphics board’s utility. For details, refer to the user's manual of the graphics board.
The message "DP Unsupported" appears on the screen
Example:
- Check whether the connected cable is a signal cable recommended by us.
- Check whether the USB-C of the connected device supports video signal output (DisplayPort Alt Mode). For details, contact the manufacturer of the device.
Imaging Problems
The screen is too bright or too dark
- Adjust "Brightness" or "Contrast" in the Setting menu to adjust it (see Color). (The LCD monitor backlight has a limited life span. If the screen becomes dark or begins to flicker, contact your local EIZO representative.)
- If the screen is too bright, try setting "Auto EcoView" to "On". The monitor detects the ambient brightness to adjust the screen brightness automatically (see Auto EcoView).
The brightness changes on its own
- Try setting "Auto EcoView" to "Off" (see Auto EcoView).
- Try setting "EcoView Optimizer 2" to "Off" (see EcoView Optimizer 2).
Characters and images are blurred
- Check whether the PC is configured to meet the resolution and vertical scan frequency requirements of the monitor (see Compatible Resolutions). For information on how to change your computer settings, refer to our web site (www.eizoglobal.com ).
- Try setting the magnification of display on the OS to "100 %". When using multiple monitors, try setting the magnification of display to "100 %" on all monitors.
Afterimages appear
- This is common with LCD panels. We recommend avoid using the monitor to display fixed images for extended periods of time.
- Use the screensaver or power save function on your computer if you are going to be displaying the same image for a long period of time.
- An afterimage may appear even after a short time period has elapsed depending on the displayed image. To remove such a phenomenon, change the image or keep the power turned off for several hours.
- Check if the signal is not being output as an interlaced signal.
Green / red / blue / white / dark dots remain on the screen
- This is due to LCD panel characteristics and not a malfunction.
Interference patterns or pressure marks remain on the LCD panel
- Leave the monitor with a white or black screen. The symptom may disappear.
Noise appears on the screen
- In the Setting menu, try setting "Overdrive" to "Off" (see Advanced Settings - Overdrive).
- When inputting HDCP system signals, normal images may not be displayed immediately.
The positions of windows and icons are shifted when the monitor is turned off/on or when restored from power saving mode
- In the Setting menu, set "Compatibility Mode" to "On" (see Advanced Settings - Compatibility Mode).
The color shown on the screen is not correct
- In the Setting menu, try changing the "Input Color Format" setting (see Input Color Format).
Images are not displayed over the entire area of the screen
- In the Setting menu, try changing the "Picture Expansion" setting (see Picture Expansion).
- Check whether the resolution settings of the PC matches the resolution of the monitor.
Other Problems
The Setting menu does not appear
- Check whether the operation switch lock function is enabled (see Locking Operation Switches).
Cannot select items in the Setting menu
- Items that are displayed with gray text cannot be changed.
- "Color" items cannot be changed in some color modes. Setting the color mode to "User1" or "User2" will allow you to change all items (see Color).
No audio output
- This product does not contain speakers.
USB peripheral devices connected to the monitor do not work
- Does it supply power from the included AC adapter? Peripherals connected to the USB downstream will not work if the PC is receiving power without using the AC adapter.
- Check whether the peripheral device is correctly connected to the USB downstream port on the monitor.
- Try using a different USB port on the PC.
- Check whether the device drivers of the peripheral devices are up-to-date.
- Reboot the PC. Disconnect all cables connected to the monitor, make sure the power light is off, then plug in the cable again and try turning it on.
- When "Compatibility Mode" is set to "Off" and the power of the monitor is turned off, the device connected to the USB downstream port will not operate. Set "Compatibility Mode" to "On" (see Advanced Settings - Compatibility Mode).
- If the peripheral devices work correctly when they are directly connected to the PC, contact your local EIZO representative.
- Depending on the USB host controller you are using, the connected USB device may not be recognized properly. Update to the latest USB driver provided by the manufacturer.
- If you are using a Windows PC, check the USB-related settings in the BIOS (UEFI). (See the user's manual of the PC for details.)
- Check if the operating system of the PC is up-to-date.
- If you are using macOS Ventura (13), select "Allow" in the "Allow accessory to connect?" message window that appears when connecting via USB.
Power indicator is flashing orange and white
- Check the connection and condition of the USB peripheral devices connected to the monitor.
- Check whether the power required for the USB peripheral devices connected to the monitor does not exceed the power that can be supplied from the USB port of the monitor.
- If the monitor is connected to a laptop with a USB-C cable, connect an AC adapter to the laptop.
Even when operating a mouse or keyboard connected to the USB downstream port of the monitor, the PC does not return from sleep
- In the Setting menu, set "Compatibility Mode" to "On" (see Advanced Settings - Compatibility Mode).
The monitor does not supply power (USB Power Delivery) to the PC
- Check whether the PC has the specifications to operate with a 60 W power supply.
- For a 60 W power supply, use the following USB cables:
- CC150SS81G-5A (Included)
The message "Changes to this setting may increase power consumption." appears on the screen
Example:
This is a message that will only be displayed during the initial setup when using a function that may potentially increase power consumption. Select "OK" to proceed to the next step.
When power is supplied from the monitor to the PC (USB Power Delivery), a "slow charging cable" warning is displayed on the PC
- This warning may appear due to the power supply specifications of the monitor and PC specifications (it is not a cable issue). Even if this warning is displayed, power is still being supplied from the monitor to the PC.
