1968 - 1984
Founding and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturing)
1967December
Nanao Electric Corporation was founded in Nanao city, Japan. It began as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of black and white televisions.
1968March
Eizo Nanao Corporation was founded as Hakui Electric Corporation in Hakui city, Japan.
1973March
The company changed its name to Nanao Corporation.
It acquired part of the business of Nanao Electric Corpotation, which manufactured electronic devices, and started to design, manufacture, and sell electronic devices.
1978April
EIZO started development, production, and sales of Tabletop Gaming Monitors such as invader games.
1979May
EIZO acquired Nanao Electric Corporation.
1980February
EIZO acquired Irem Corporation, a maker and purveyor of software for home and industrial use.
1981April
A new factory was built in Matto city (now Hakusan city), that later became the company's international headquarters.
1984January
EIZO acquired Wako Electric Corporation in Hakui city, which manufactured electronic circuit boards.
September

EIZO decided to expand its business overseas by founding Hitec Associates (later renamed Eizo Corporation) in Kanazawa city, Japan as a sales subsidiary for the European market.

Creating the Brand

EIZO developed and produced CRT monitors for computers and began selling in Europe under its own brand name “EIZO”.

EIZO established Nanao USA Corporation (now EIZO Inc.) in the USA and began selling CRT monitors for computers to the North American market under its own brand name "NANAO".

EIZO began selling CRT monitors for computers in Japan under its own brand name "NANAO".
1992September
Eizo Sweden AB (now EIZO Nordic AB) established in Sweden.

EIZO developed, manufactured, and began selling LCD monitors for amusement.

Acquired ISO 9002 Quality Management System Certification.
1996April

“EIZO” and "NANAO" were united into "EIZO" as the company's brand name, and we adopted the current logo along with the integration of the brand name.

Nanao Corporation and Eizo Corporation merged to form Eizo Nanao Corporation.

Nanao Electric Corporation merged with Wako Electronics Corporation.
It changed the company name to Eizo Nanao MS Corporation (now EIZO MS Corporation) and moved the headquarter to Hakui city.
2005 - 2009
Acquire New Technologies and New Customers through M&A

EIZO established Eizo Techno career (now EIZO Engineering Corporation) in Hakusan city.
April
Acquired ISO 13485 certification for the quality management system for its medical display devices.
July
EIZO acquired the Eizo Business Unit of EXCOM AG, its sales distributor in Switzerland, and established the fully owned subsidiary Eizo Nanao AG.
2007February

EIZO acquired graphics board developer and manufacturer, Tech Source, Inc. of Florida, USA.
With this acquisition, EIZO entered the air traffic control, military and defense, and command and control markets.

EIZO acquired the medical monitor business of Germany's Siemens A&D and established a new subsidiary, EIZO GmbH, in Karlsruhe, Germany.
2009February

EIZO entered into a definitive agreement with eg-electronic GmbH of Wolfratshausen, Germany to acquire the latter's business units for industrial monitors, air traffic control monitors, and monitor control boards. The acquisition was finalized in February 2009 and a new subsidiary, EIZO Technologies GmbH, in Wolfratshausen, Germany, officially began operations.

EIZO established a wholly-owned subsidiary in China, EIZO Display Technologies (Suzhou) Co. Ltd., to manufacture medical monitors for the Chinese market.

EIZO established two wholly-owned subsidiaries, Europe GmbH (Germany) and EIZO Limited (United Kingdom), to expand its sales and marketing activities in Europe.
2013April
Changed company name from Eizo Nanao Corporation to EIZO Corporation.
2015July
EIZO acquired Imation’s medical system integration business in Japan through a wholly-owned company named EIZO Medical Solutions.
2016July
EIZO acquired endoscopy monitor business from Panasonic Healthcare in Japan.
2018March
EIZO acquired Carina System Corporation, a developer of system solutions for operating rooms.
October
EIZO Medical Solutions Corporation merged with EIZO Corporation
2019December
Acquired ISO45001 certification for the Occupational Health and Safety Management System and ISO50001 certification for the Energy Management System.
2022April
Transition to the Prime Market of the Tokyo Stock Exchange in accordance with the restructuring of market segments.

Acquired ISO/IEC 27001, an international standard for information security management systems (ISMS).
