EIZO Releases Next-Generation IP Decoding Solutions for Streamlined Video Surveillance System Installation and Operation
Hakusan, Japan, May 22, 2025 – EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737) today introduced the DuraVision DX0231-IP and FDF2731W-IP – the latest generation in its lineup of IP decoding solutions for security & surveillance. These models succeed the DX0212-IP and FDF2712W-IP.
Navigating rapid technological advancements can be daunting for end users, integrators, and consultants. The complexity of system installations, cybersecurity concerns, and maintenance underscore the need for a comprehensive approach to physical security. Since launching its first IP decoding monitor in 2014, EIZO has provided innovative solutions that empower users to effectively leverage visual technology to protect people, businesses, and communities.
The 27-inch FDF2731W-IP monitor, like its predecessors, features built-in decoding, allowing direct connection to a camera or switch to receive and display signals from IP cameras. The DX0231-IP is a standalone box solution using the same IP decoding platform, capable of connecting to and displaying IP cameras on up to dual 4K monitors for flexible configuration. These solutions operate without the need for a PC, software, or additional hardware, offering users a streamlined installation process that saves time and costs associated with initial setup and system maintenance. This additionally reduces potential points of failure and addresses security concerns by minimizing the equipment needed to manage sensitive visual data over the network.
- The DX0231-IP and FDF2731W-IP are interoperable with over 300 cameras, including 4K cameras, with ONVIF® Profile S, AXIS® VAPIX®, Panasonic, and i-PRO protocols. Operators can register up to 48 cameras and display up to 32 simultaneously. Both products newly feature audio output* from IP cameras for increased situational awareness.
Enhancing the versatility of its predecessor, the DX0231-IP supports 3840 x 1600 and 3440 x 1440 ultrawide resolutions. This enables the display of images from panoramic cameras, facilitating wide area monitoring and effective blind spot elimination.
EIZO is committed to reducing its environmental impact by transitioning away from plastic and other environmentally unfriendly materials in product packaging. Additionally, the FDF2731W-IP is the first DuraVision monitor to use recycled plastic in its housing. Made of 85% recycled plastic, this contributes to reducing the amount of plastic waste entering the environment, conserves resources, and promotes the reuse of materials to preserve the natural ecosystem.
