Hakusan, Japan, May 8, 2025 – EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737) today introduced the Raptor RP2126 (21.3-inch, 1600 x 1200 resolution) and RP1526 (15-inch, 1024 x 786 resolution) – two high-brightness tower monitors joining EIZO’s lineup of monitors for air traffic control.

In the high-stakes environment of air traffic control, the importance of visual clarity, efficiency, and reliability are paramount. Controllers must clearly interpret and act on large volumes of information, making these qualities crucial for mission-critical ATC operations. The Raptor RP2126 and RP1526 monitors are designed specifically for ATC towers, offering exceptionally wide brightness ranges of 10 – 1000 cd/m2 and 25 – 800 cd/m2, respectively. This ensures that air traffic control officers (ATCOs) have optimal screen clarity in varying lighting conditions of ATC towers, enhancing situational awareness.

A typical ATCO tower workstation is equipped with multiple monitors for displaying various information. Wide viewing angles ensure ATCOs maintain a clear view of critical information, even when the monitor is mounted peripherally to the main application display. This versatility allows these Raptor monitors to be positioned flexibly within the configuration, ensuring visibility without compromise.

Both monitors feature projected capacitive (PCAP) touch technology that accepts input from a bare finger, stylus, or thin gloves. High responsiveness to tapping, swiping, and flicking motions makes touch operation intuitive and smooth for flight data management, communication systems, and other applications. Additionally, stylus input allows ATCOs to conveniently write notes directly on the screen for enhanced operational efficiency. A non-touch variation of both models is also available to adapt to any installation requirement.

To further support diverse installation needs, the RP2126 includes additional mounting points alongside the VESA 100 x 100 standard, allowing for custom adapter attachments on the backside. This ensures seamless integration into various setups, including existing consoles and systems.

The RP1526’s compact 15-inch size optimizes the use of limited spaces in ATC towers or in control center auxiliary configurations, supporting an organized controller workspace. Its small footprint allows for easy adaptation for dynamic controller positioning layouts, ensuring flexibility and efficiency.

Both monitors feature a DisplayPort connection that supports multi-channel audio, enabling the transmission of audio along with video signals. This allows ATCOs to receive aircraft audio directly through the monitor’s built-in speakers, providing a streamlined solution for configurations where PCs are positioned away from the controller’s station.
