EIZO Releases New 24.1-inch Color Management Monitor with SDI Connectivity for Broadcast and Video Production Workflows

ColorEdge CG2400SV

Hakusan, Japan, September 2, 2025 – EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737) today introduced the ColorEdge CG2400SV, a 24.1-inch color management monitor with WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution. Developed on the same technical foundation as the ColorEdge CG2400S – announced in February 2025 for photography, design, and other creative fields – the CG2400SV delivers tailored functionality for broadcast and video production workflows with SDI input and output connectivity.

To meet the technical requirements of professional broadcast and video production environments, the CG2400SV is EIZO’s second monitor, after the 30.5-inch ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG1, to feature SDI input and output terminals, supporting 3G-SDI Level A and HD-SDI signals. SDI connectivity enables the transmission of uncompressed video signals, preserving the full fidelity of HDR content without introducing visual artifacts. This ensures seamless integration with professional camera systems and live video feeds, making the monitor a reliable solution for accurate monitoring on-site and in-studio. In addition to SDI, it also includes DisplayPort™ and HDMI® terminals, offering versatile connectivity for various workflows.

Supporting both the hybrid log-gamma (HLG) transfer function and perceptual quantization (PQ) curve, the monitor enables accurate rendering of HDR content. Furthermore, it achieves a brightness of 400 cd/m2 and a high contrast ratio of 1800:1 (typical), complying with the DCI standard for digital cinema. This allows it to produce deep, true blacks and preserve subtle shadow details.

To ensure long-term color precision, the CG2400SV is equipped with EIZO’s award-winning built-in calibration sensor technology that allows users to effortlessly set calibration automatically at designated times. This eliminates the need for a third-party calibration device, helping both individuals and studios save valuable time.

The monitor features a wide color gamut that covers 98% of the DCI-P3 standard used in digital cinema and supports the BT.2020 standard for broadcasting. Users can also quickly switch between preset color modes via the front switches, enabling efficient color management across different projects.

For studio environments, the CG2400SV includes EIZO’s unique Pixel Inspection function, which provides a method for color management system managers and IT staff to verify color information from creator workstations. When activated via the OSD, it shows the color information of a selected pixel from the source input data and the data as it is displayed on the monitor. This helps ensure creators are working under the correct technical conditions, reducing the risk of rework due to mismatched settings.

The monitor’s compact 24.1-inch design allows it to fit comfortably in space-limited environments such as broadcast control rooms, editing suites, and mobile setups. A built-in carrying handle on the back bezel provides a stable grip for relocating the unit between workstations or transporting it to on-site locations for monitoring during production.

As part of its company-wide sustainability efforts, EIZO is committed to transitioning its products to more environmentally conscious materials and packaging. The monitor’s housing is made from over 85% recycled plastic, promoting the reduction of plastic waste, conservation of resources, and reuse of materials. It is also securely packaged using molded pulp made from recycled cardboard and newspaper instead of environmentally unfriendly materials to minimize environmental impact.
