EIZO Releases Highly Customizable 32-inch 4K Monitor for Traditional and Remote Air Traffic Control Tower Operations

Raptor RP3226

Hakusan, Japan, November 6, 2025 – EIZO today introduced the Raptor RP3226 – a 32-inch monitor 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution designed for both traditional and remote air traffic control (ATC) tower environments. As the successor to the RP3225, the RP3226 introduces a streamlined feature set focused on essential performance, while offering a wide range of optional enhancements to support a broad spectrum of operational requirements.

The RP3226 delivers exceptional image clarity with its 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) resolution for detailed display of radar feeds, flight data, and other mission-critical applications. This supports both conventional tower operations, where on-screen information is used together with direct visual observation, and remote digital towers that rely on high-resolution video and software overlays for situational awareness.

To ensure legibility in varying lighting conditions, the monitor offers a wide brightness range of 30 to 350 cd/m2 and a high contrast ratio of 1000:1. For high-ambient environments, an optional high-brightness model provides up to 650 cd/m2 brightness1 and 1800:1 contrast ratio, maintaining screen clarity even under direct sunlight or intense indoor lighting.

The RP3226 is available in a standard non-touch configuration, or with an optional projected capacitive (PCAP) touch panel for intuitive touch operation. Its design supports horizontal installation, offering flexibility for deployments utilizing flat console or desktop layouts for touch-based workflows. The fully flat surface2 ensures smooth and unobstructed interaction, integrating seamlessly into equipment-dense control workspaces.

EIZO’s optional SwitchLink internal switching management technology enables air traffic control officers (ATCO) to operate up to six video input sources using a single keyboard and mouse. Switching is automatic by simply moving the mouse cursor across connected monitors in a multi-monitor setup or can be toggled using keyboard hotkeys. This integrated solution eliminates the need for an external KVM switch, enabling system integrators and end users to deploy cleaner setups with fewer cables, lower power requirements, and reduced risk of compatibility issues.

Compared to its predecessor, the RP3226 features a slimmer profile and narrower bezels, offering a modern aesthetic while maximizing screen real estate. It is also significantly lighter, with the standard non-touch model weighing just 8 kg and the touch panel version at 11 kg – a notable reduction from the RP3225’s 17.1 kg. This streamlined design improves installation flexibility, supporting seamless integration even in space-constrained control tower environments.

The RP3226 reflects EIZO’s commitment to delivering adaptable solutions for evolving ATC needs. By focusing on essential functionality and offering targeted customization options, it provides a versatile platform that can be tailored to meet the demands of diverse control tower operations.
