EIZO Broadens Industrial Embedded Monitor Lineup with New 18.5-Inch Touch Panel Model with Rack-Mount Compatibility

Hakusan, Japan, December 11, 2025 – EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737) today introduced the DuraVision FDF1983WT – an 18.5-inch touch panel monitor with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution designed for seamless integration into industrial systems and specialized enclosures. As EIZO’s first touch panel in the 18.5-inch size, the new model joins the 15.6-inch FDF1683WT announced in October to offer customers greater flexibility in size and mounting options for embedded applications.
Like its sister model, the FDF1983WT features highly responsive projected capacitive (PCAP) touch technology with support for 10 simultaneous touch points, enabling intuitive multitouch operation and collaborative input. In settings where gloves are commonly worn, such as manufacturing lines, system control interfaces, and healthcare facilities, maintaining touch responsiveness is essential. The monitor reliably detects input through thin gloves, ensuring consistent performance across these demanding environments.
The monitor supports stylus-based handwriting and smooth gestures such as dragging and flicking, making it suitable for applications that require refined interaction. A built-in palm rejection feature ensures that only intentional touch input is recognized, allowing users to rest their hands on the screen while writing without triggering unintended actions.
Industrial environments often require monitors to be built into custom enclosures or machinery, requiring adaptable mounting solutions. The FDF1983WT is EIZO’s second open frame model, engineered for seamless integration into chassis-supported embedded systems. For added adaptability, an optional bracket enables installation into EIA (Electronic Industries Association) standard 19-inch racks, meeting the needs for rack-based installations in industrial and infrastructure settings.
The monitor is available in both AC and DC power models. The DC power models support a wide input range of DC12-24V, ensuring compatibility with diverse power configurations.
EIZO continues its commitment to sustainability by using over 80% recycled plastic in the monitor’s housing, helping reduce environmental impact and promote resource conservation.
