Daiwabo Information System Co., Ltd. is a specialized ICT equipment trading company with approximately 100 sales locations across Japan. Working with about 1,500 IT-related manufacturers and roughly 19,000 resellers nationwide, the company provides attentive, community-focused services to each region.

On May 7, 2025, the company renamed its “Tokyo Branch” to the “Tokyo Headquarters,” shifting to a dual-headquarters structure with offices in both Osaka and Tokyo. At the same time, the Tokyo Headquarters was relocated. In conjunction with this move, the company introduced 372 units of the 34.1-inch ultrawide FlexScan EV3450XC monitor and 85 units of the 31.5-inch 4K FlexScan EV3240X monitor for office use. EIZO also handled the installation work for the project.

We spoke with the project leads about the background behind the adoption, the reasons for selecting EIZO monitors, and their impressions after installation.

Monitors Selected with Employee Input

As part of the Tokyo Headquarters relocation project, our General Affairs Department led the selection of office furniture and ICT equipment. For monitors, we placed particular emphasis on the opinions of the employees who would actually be using them. We gathered feedback from multiple departments starting with our Sales Promotion Division, and based our selection on this input. We shortlisted four monitor manufacturers, including EIZO, and conducted hands-on testing using the applications our employees use daily.

EIZO monitors received strong evaluations from many employees for their clarity of image quality and comfort in operation. Some long-time EIZO users noted that “trying other products made me realize once again just how high EIZO’s quality is,” reinforcing trust in the brand and supporting our final decision.

As an ICT equipment distributor, we also handle EIZO monitors in our regular business activities, and we understand EIZO’s strong position within the monitor industry. Our longstanding internal trust in EIZO’s brand strength, performance, and image quality played a major role in our decision.

Creating a Bright, Unified Office with White Housing and Cables

The harmony between the monitor design and our white-based new office interior was also a key consideration. To match our concept of creating a “bright, unified space,” EIZO was the only candidate that offered a clean, consistent white color from the monitor housing to the cables. As we had envisioned, the monitors contribute significantly to the office’s cohesive and bright appearance.

Creating a Comfortable Work Environment That Matches Monitors to Tasks

In our previous office, employees used various monitors from different manufacturers and in different sizes. In the new office, we placed importance on visual consistency and sought a monitor that could improve efficiency even when used alone.

We selected the 34.1-inch ultrawide FlexScan EV3450XC as our office standard and installed 372 units. Our administrative departments frequently work with multiple applications simultaneously, such as Excel, Word, core business systems, and email. The EV3450XC allows multiple windows to be displayed simultaneously across its wide screen, and with no bezel dividing two monitors, horizontal eye movement is smooth. Its curved panel enhances immersion and helps maintain focus. Since moving, we have not received a single complaint about switching to a single-monitor setup, and employees appear to have a favorable impression of the new environment.

To strengthen communication, we introduced a group desking seating system. With the EV3450XC as the standard, employees can maintain high efficiency at any seat. Displaying documents on the large screen during discussions also makes sharing information easy and contributes to smoother communication.

To accommodate differing preferences regarding curved screens and to account for available desk space, we also introduced 85 units of the 31.5-inch FlexScan EV3240X. Under the group desking system, employees can choose where and with which monitor they work based on their tasks or workstyle for the day. The EV3240X provides 4K resolution and a large 31.5-inch screen that allows more information to be viewed at once. Even small text and images remain sharp and easy to read, supporting greater work efficiency.

We also installed the EV3240X in meeting spaces. Its large screen is particularly useful when sharing materials during discussions. Additionally, because employees often move between meetings with their laptops, the USB Type-C support on both monitor models allows them to resume work immediately with a single-cable connection.

Smart Web Conferencing with a Built-In Webcam

We also make active use of the EV3450XC’s built-in webcam. Once connected to a notebook PC, the camera integrated into the top bezel provides a natural, front-facing angle, making web conferences much more comfortable. No special setup or external camera is required, and the discreet, built-in design keeps the workspace looking clean and stylish.

Smooth and Professional Installation Service

EIZO’s installation service was extremely helpful in implementing this project. Although we initially considered using a separate contractor, we chose EIZO after they proposed their installation support. EIZO handled everything from delivery and installation to disposal of packing materials.

With the speedy yet meticulous work of a professional monitor specialist, even the screen positioning was finished beautifully. Later, when we installed about twenty additional monitors ourselves due to layout changes, we realized just how challenging the work can be. The experience reaffirmed the importance of relying on professionals not only for delivery but also for installation. Their careful handling, from collecting packing materials to routing cables, was a great help during the busy relocation period.

Environmentally Conscious Product Design as a Key Point

Within the DIS Group, we actively promote initiatives aimed at realizing a sustainable society through our business as an IT distributor. As part of our environmental policy, we encourage environmentally conscious IT utilization that contributes to environmental protection, including carbon neutrality.

For example, our electronic commerce system “iDATEN” provides procurement staff at companies, municipalities, and educational institutions with tools to efficiently search for environmentally friendly products, supporting green procurement efforts. EIZO monitors comply with major environmental standards, have a high usage rate of recycled plastic in their monitors’ housings, and offer excellent power efficiency, earning them high evaluations from an environmental standpoint. As environmental laws and standards increasingly influence procurement activities, EIZO monitors are products we can confidently recommend, and they align with our own environmental policy.

When we actually began using them in our office, their excellent power efficiency was especially impressive. Power consumption was low during daytime use, but when the office lights automatically turned off at night, the monitors also dimmed naturally. This was not a simple sleep mode – the monitors themselves autonomously adjusted their brightness, which genuinely surprised us. Since we have introduced a large number of EIZO monitors, this level of power efficiency contributes significantly to reducing energy use across our entire office.

Impressions After Installation and Response Beyond the Office

After introducing EIZO monitors, we received strong responses even from outside our office. Visiting employees and group company members often say, “We want these in our department as well,” and our monitor environment is now becoming recognized as a new internal standard.

Although EIZO monitors have long been well-known across the company, each branch previously used monitors from different manufacturers and in different sizes. This new office is the first to unify both brand and size. Many employees are using EIZO monitors for the first time. As they began using them and sharing their impressions of the high quality with colleagues across the company, interest at other branches has grown. Some branches planning relocations are now considering adopting EIZO monitors, and this rollout has become a catalyst for their spread throughout our company.

Expectations for Continued Product Innovation and Support
