ColorEdge PROMINENCE Used for the HDR Production of Black and White Film, Maquis
Maquis is a film that takes place in Spain, 1949. Centered around the women in a town of terrible secrets and memories of a civil war that some prefer to forget. The film’s aesthetic is incredibly unique, created entirely in black and white and color graded on the ColorEdge PROMINENCE CG3145 HDR reference monitor. We had the opportunity to speak to director and screenwriter Rubén Buren, director of photography Eugenio Tardón, and colorist Silvestre López (Elephant Room Films), about how the production came together.
