EIZO Releases Highly Durable 17-inch Multitouch Monitor for Industrial, Medical, and Public Facilities
Hakusan, Japan, October 22, 2024 – EIZO Corporation (TSE: 6737) introduced today the DuraVision FDS1783T – a 17-inch, 1280 x 1024 resolution monitor designed for use in a variety of markets, including industrial, medical, and public facilities.
The FDS1783T is the successor model to the FDS1782T. In addition to the anti-glare panel treatment from the previous model, the new monitor now features an anti-fingerprint treatment for maintaining screen clarity during use. The FDS1783T has updated input connections compared to its predecessor and is equipped with modern DisplayPort™ and HDMI® inputs for connecting to a PC, in addition to a D-Sub 15 pin analog input. The integrated back speakers have been upgraded from 1 watt to 2 watt, ensuring optimal audio output.
The FDS1783T is equipped with highly responsive projected capacitive (PCAP) touch technology for intuitive and smooth operation. It features 10-point simultaneous multitouch input, supporting use with styluses, as well as with or without gloves, making it an optimal choice for use in a range of applications, such as control consoles in factories, communication terminals in clinics, and public access areas.
The monitor is equipped with palm rejection technology, which allows users to rest their hands directly on the screen without causing unintended input. Furthermore, it is equipped with technology that automatically calibrates touch sensitivity to correct deviations caused by environmental factors and electromagnetic noise, ensuring stable touch operation at all times.
The FDS1783T’s fully flat design provides a seamless touch experience to the edge of the screen for smooth swiping, dragging, and scrolling operations. The reclining stand allows for flexible positioning, making it easy to place the monitor in the ideal position for the target application.
The FDS1783T has external dimensions consistent with those of its predecessor, making it a reliable fit during a system refresh. It is compliant with the IEC60601-1 standard, ensuring that it meets the basic safety and essential performance criteria for use in medical environments. It is designed for 24-hour operation and is backed by a 3-year manufacturer’s warranty for long-term reliability.
