On May 21, 2025, the new Xinqiao Air Traffic Management Service Building, under the Anhui ATM Sub-bureau of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), was officially put into operation. Construction of the facility began in November 2021, and it passed industry acceptance in May 2025. The building integrates a range of advanced systems and cutting-edge technologies, including over 180 EIZO monitors.

The Xinqiao International Airport in Hefei is a critical link of the Yangtze River Delta region’s world-class airport cluster. Its expansion project is a major infrastructure initiative during the 14th Five-Year Plan period for both Anhui Province and China’s civil aviation system, encompassing supporting facilities such as air traffic management (ATM) infrastructure. The commissioning of the new Xinqiao ATM Service Building marks a significant milestone, elevating Anhui’s air traffic management capabilities to a new level.

Air traffic management demands exceptionally high safety standards that far exceed those of most other industries. Specialized monitors used for air traffic control (ATC) serve as the essential “eyes” of aviation safety, enabling controllers to make fast, accurate decisions under intense pressure.

EIZO monitors were first adopted by the Anhui ATM Sub-bureau in 2011, and their performance has been proven through over a decade of continuous use. In the latest procurement project for primary and backup ATC automation systems, EIZO monitors were once again selected as the professional solution of choice.

EIZO’s ATC solutions offer a comprehensive range of monitors, recording & streaming solutions, and graphics cards for towers, control centers and training facilities – each tailored to meet the unique demands of different environments. The Raptor SQ2825, EIZO’s 5th generation primary control monitor deployed in the new building, offers air traffic controllers a modern way to view critical operational data. With 2K x 2K resolution, it meets the specialized requirements of mission-critical ATC environments. Distinguished from its predecessor, it features a modernized design and unique direct LED backlight system, ensuring high operational reliability and extensive customizability.

In addition to primary control monitors, EIZO offers tower monitors with excellent readability under varying lighting conditions and can be customized with different mounting options and cabinet colors to meet specific operational needs. Auxiliary monitors are also available in a range of sizes and configurations, with options for standard or touchscreen display.

The Re/Vue series of encoding & streaming solutions supports ATC, training & simulation, and command-and-control applications, delivering industry-leading compression ratios and mission-critical reliability. SafeGuard, EIZO’s data capture and content management solution, is designed to work seamlessly with its ATC hardware systems. EIZO’s 4th generation Raptor series of primary control graphics cards are purpose-built for air traffic control, offering multi-resolution support, high configurability, and an innovative passive heatsink cooling system.
