Ensuring Safety throughout the Skies
As the hub for the operation and command of civil aviation in Jiangxi, CAAC Jiangxi Branch works to address the continuously high and fluctuating level of air traffic, lay the solid foundation for safe operation, and thoroughly improve the quality of service. From the independent operation in 2002 to the present, CAAC Jiangxi Branch has managed nearly 9 million flights. They work to ensure the safety and harmony throughout the skies, spanning an airspace of nearly ten thousand kilometers. They won the honorary title of "Safe and Competitive Unit in CAAC System" two times in three years, in 2020 and 2022.
At 11:18 pm on November 20, 2023, CAAC Jiangxi Branch was officially put into operation, marking a giant leap forward for the support capacity of air traffic management in the Jiangxi airspace. The number of controller positions increased from 16 to 47, and the operation and the support capacity increased by nearly 3 times, ensuring sufficient support for 1.35 million flights every year.
The Aviation Dream
In the face of the "aviation dream" in Jiangxi, CAAC Jiangxi Branch is now able to do more for flight safety, flight management, mass passenger services, aviation industry promotion, etc., thus making an important contribution to the development of the aviation industry and economy in the region.
CAAC Jiangxi Branch is exploring its internal potential and proactively promoting the optimization of the airspace to address the increasing focus on flight safety. At the Nanchang Changbei Airport, the arriving and departing airlines are separated, and the management of the airport apron is transferred between them. The airspace in the Nanchang region is highly optimized so surrounding radar signals are connected to one another, greatly increasing the safety margin and operational efficiency of flight operations.
After more than 2 years of testing and comparison, CAAC Jiangxi Branch finally selected EIZO ATC monitors for their controller positions because of their stability, durability, excellent color expression, and ease of maintenance. Installed products include EIZO's 2K x 2K primary control monitor SQ2825 (71 units), tower monitor RP2425 (9 units), auxiliary monitors EV2456 (52 units) and EV2730Q (4 units). These solutions help to realize the "aviation dream", contributing to the high-quality development of the aviation industry in Jiangxi, and is one step towards CAAC's goal of establishing four strong pillars of air traffic management.
