Q.

Does the CG3200X suffer from burn-in?

A.

The CG3200X uses an OLED panel.

  • Characteristics of OLED Panels
OLED panels are known for their high image quality.
However, due to the characteristics of OLED panels, displaying the same image for extended periods may result in burn-in.

For example, burn-in is more likely to occur when static images such as taskbars or application menus are displayed at high brightness levels for long periods of time.

To extend the lifespan of your monitor, use the screen saver or power saving function of your video playback device, or enable Dark Mode in your computer's settings.
We also recommend turning off the power when the monitor is not in use.

  • About the Panel Protection Functions of the CG3200X
The CG3200X is equipped with the following panel protection functions to reduce the risk of burn-in.

    - ABL (Automatic Brightness Limiter)
Automatically reduces screen brightness when displaying bright input signals in order to protect the panel.

    - Pixel Cleaning
Performs panel maintenance at regular intervals when the monitor enters Standby Mode or switches to Secondary Power Off, helping to prevent burn-in and compensate for panel variations.

    - Thermal Modulation (Temperature Protection Function)
Reduces screen brightness when a high panel temperature is detected in order to suppress further temperature increases.

    - Screen Saver
Reduces screen brightness when no changes in the displayed image are detected for a certain period of time, thereby reducing the load on the panel.

    - Pixel Shift
Slightly shifts the display position to reduce concentrated wear on specific areas of the panel.
Pixel Cleaning can also be performed manually.

  • Preventing Burn-in During Normal Use
These panel protection functions help reduce the risk of burn-in during normal use, such as creative work and video viewing.
However, displaying the same image continuously at high brightness levels for extended periods may place a significant load on the OLED panel and could result in burn-in.
