When monitor is connected to a PC via USB Type-C, the communication speed of USB devices connected to a USB hub and the monitor built-in wired LAN slows down.
A.
The USB Type-C port on the following monitors supports USB 3.1 Gen1 (USB communication speed: 5Gbps max.).
However, when using the monitor at the native resolution and refresh rate of 60Hz, the communication speed is limited to the equivalent of USB 2.0 (USB communication speed: 480Mbps max.) due to the monitor specifications.
Therefore, the communication speed of the built-in wired LAN or USB devices connected to the monitor's USB hub will also be reduced to USB 2.0 equivalent.
Affected Monitors: FlexScan EV3895 / EV3285 / EV2795 / EV2785 / EV2495 / EV2490 / ColorEdge CG2700X / CS2740
When you want to prioritize USB communication speed over refresh rate, please set the followings.

- For EV3895
Please switch the signal format setting to "WQHD+ 30Hz / USB3.1".
- For EV3285 / EV2785
Please switch the signal format setting to "4K UHD 30Hz / USB3.1".
- For EV2795 / EV2495 / EV2490
Please switch the daisy chain setting to "Off".

- For CG2700X
Please switch the signal format setting to "4K30Hz/USB3.1/YUV/HDR".
- For CS2740
Please switch the signal format setting to "4K 30Hz".
When the refresh rate is limited up to 30Hz, you can get 5Gbps max. speed for USB communication.
Note) To get both USB 5Gbps and 60Hz of the refresh rate on ColorEdge
When you use a USB Type-B port for USB communication, you can get both 5Gbps max. speed for USB communication and 60Hz of the refresh rate.
This method needs USB Type-C connection (for video signal) and USB Type-B connection (for USB communication).
Please switch the signal format setting to "4K60Hz/USB2.0/RGB" or "4K60Hz/USB2.0/YUV/HDR" and switch the USB Selection setting of USB-C from USB-1 (USB-C) to USB-2.
