ColorNavigator has a show pattern function. What does each pattern mean?

From the top of the pattern:

1. Black scale area This scale shows video level, 0,4, …, 36, 40, and 44. It is possible to check calibration result of the low gray scale area and adjust the black level easily.

2. Gray scale area This scale shows video level from 0 to 255. It is possible to check whether tone characteristics of the monitor are accurately adjusted or not. If gray scale shows banding, the monitor has problems that is video card LUT has changed.

3. White scale area This scale shows video level, 211, 215, …, 247, 251 and 255.

4. Gamma area This area shows gamma value, 1.6, 1.7, …, 2.2, 2.3, and 2.4. The point which is the same gray as the gray in the back is the present gamma value and you can check the gamma value of the monitor.

5. EIZO/ColorNavigator logo area The area around the logo shows 128 video levels.
