Can I connect ACTi analog encoders to the FDF2304W-IP?

When connecting ACTi analog encoders to the following IP decoders, you must use the "DirectUri" protocol.

• IP decoder with system software Ver.4: FDF2304W-IP, FDF4627W-IP
• IP decoder with system software Ver.5: DX0211-IP, FDF2711W-IP

When using the "DirectUri" protocol, only the video image can be displayed. 

The content of this FAQ is based on the results of testing using ACTi V2224. When you use an encoder other than V2224, please consider verifying it on an actual device in advance.

[Encoder Settings]

Select "RTP" and set "RTP B2 Frame" to "Disabled".

[IP decoder settings]

Open the IP decoder setting screen with a web browser and register the encoder.

1. Select "Camera Registration" to display the camera list.

2. Check the position number and click "Manual Registration".

3. Select "DirectUri" for "Protocol", enter the following information, and click "OK".

4. Click "Apply".

The video from the camera connected to the encoder is displayed on the IP decoder.

Troubleshooting

■ The video stops or an error message appears

Make sure that "RTP B2 Frame" in the encoder is set to "Disabled".

■ No image is displayed

Make sure that the username, password, and URI you entered are correct. Select "Port Mapping" in the encoder and make sure that "RTSP Server Port" is set to "554".
