Q.
IP Decoder is Unable to Display Video from i-PRO Camera after updating the Firmware of an i-PRO Camera
A.
An issue has been found where the IP decoder cannot display video from i-PRO camera or fails to register the camera after updating the firmware of an i-PRO camera. This issue also occurs with cameras that are listed as compatible in the compatibility information on the EIZO site.
Conditions of occurrence
If you apply firmware that contains countermeasures against the vulnerability CVE-2025-36513/JVN#10964289 to the camera, this issue will occur in combination with an IP decoder with system software Ver.5 to 7.
- IP decoder with Ver.7: DX0231-IP, FDF2731W-IP
- IP decoder with Ver.6: DX0212-IP, FDF2712W-IP, FDF2312W-IP
- IP decoder with Ver.5: DX0211-IP, FDF2711W-IP
* There is no issue with FDF4627W-IP and FDF2304W-IP.
For more information on camera's vulnerability and firmware, please refer to the i-PRO security advisories.
Countermeasures
When updating your camera's firmware, please consider re-registering the camera using the "ONVIF" protocol instead of the "Panasonic/i-PRO" protocol
[Cautions when connecting with ONVIF protocol]
Functions that are available with the "Panasonic/i-PRO" protocol may not be available with the "ONVIF" protocol. Please check the actual devices to see if the functions work with the "ONVIF" protocol before updating the firmware.
The cautions that we are aware of are as follows.
- If the image capture mode is set to "Quad streams" with a fisheye camera, the "Panasonic/i-PRO" protocol can display 4-way video separately on the IP monitor, but the "ONVIF" protocol may not be able to display 4-way video separately.
- If H.265 is set in the stream settings, a communication error may be displayed when you press the "Apply" button in the camera registration. For the IP decoder with Ver.6 to 7, set "Media2" for "Media Type" on the manual registration screen, or change the stream setting to H.264 on the camera. For the IP decoder with Ver.5, change the stream setting to H.264 on the camera.
We are still investigating how to address this issue. We will update this FAQ and let you know as we make progress.
