Can I display H.265 video with ONVIF protocol?
A.
Yes. By selecting "Media2" as the media type in manual registration, you can display H.265 video on the IP decoder.
Compatible models: DX0212-IP, FDF2712-IP, FDF2312W-IP
The following conditions must be met:
- The IP decoder system software is Ver.6.1 or later.
- The camera complies with both ONVIF Profile S and ONVIF Profile T.
■ Procedure
Set H.265 for the camera's stream in advance.
If the camera is already registered with the "ONVIF" protocol, follow the steps below to change the media type.
1. Check the position number in the camera list and click "Manual registration".
2. Select "Media2" as the Media Type.
- "Media1" (default value): Select to display H.264 or MJPEG images. You can get the media profiles of ONVIF Profile S.
- "Media2": Select to display H.265 or H.264 video. You can get the media profiles of ONVIF Profile T.
3. Click "Obtain Profile".
4. Select a media profile for the H.265 stream.
5. Click "OK".
6. Click "Apply".
Check if the video from the camera is displayed on the IP decoder.
With Ver.6.1 or later, you can check the actual compression format of the stream the decoder is receiving by clicking "Basic Information Display" in "Troubleshooting" > "Log Display".
■About TOA's cameras
As an exception, you can display H.265 video on an IP decoder (Ver. 5.x, Ver. 6.x) even with a camera that only complies with ONVIF Profile S.
Set H.265 for the camera stream in advance and register the camera with the "ONVIF" protocol. With Ver.6.1 or later, select "Media1" as the media type.
