If I use a ColorEdge monitor with ColorNavigator, can I simulate the colors of printed materials on the screen?

Yes, ColorEdge series monitors with ColorNavigator enable you to visually simulate hardcopy images on screen more accurately than standard monitors. However, please note ColorEdge series with ColorNavigator can conduct the color simulation but cannot achieve a perfect color match.

[Why is more accurate visual color simulation possible?]

A monitor and a printer apply different color spaces. However, the use of the color management function of applications such as Photoshop enables a certain level of color simulation of printed images on screen. To conduct accurate color simulation, the following three things are required.

1. Accurate monitor profiles

2. Accurate printer profiles

3. Correct setting of profiles on a monitor, a printer, and on Photoshop or other applications.

ColorEdge monitors with ColorNavigator can precisely profile a monitor and thereby can conduct more accurate color simulation than with standard monitors. For the printer color profiles, please ask your printer manufacturer as ColorNavigator cannot generate them.
